I say that, because my Crucial MX500 (had it's original m01 firmware) and as soon as I migrated it to my Inspiron 15 7567, it would no longer be recognized by BIOS. When you initialized the WD 750, did you make the partitions GPT or MBR?ĭoublecheck you have the latest firmware on the WD 750.
Sn750 create boot partition install#
TL DR BIOS doesn't recognize new M.2 SSD and it gets stuck trying to install windows. BIOS doesn't recognise the SN750 but when I was using the Koxia, Windows recognised just fine. I proceeded to remove the Koxia and only left the SN750 and the problem is persisting. The problem is that after the first reboot, the process of selecting a drive to install Windows on starts again despite having created new partitions on the SN750! Then I proceded to plug a USB, put a clean image of windows there and install it on the SN750. Soon I learnt that I had to use Disk Manager to initialize it and did just that. I plugged it alongside the OG Koxia ssd and Windows wasn't detecting it. I had zero problems.īut now, I wanted to replace the SSD with something better. I recently bought a Laptop Dell G5 5505 and I did a clean Windows reinstall a couple of weeks ago.
